    How do I update the featured image placeholders for the product categories on my homepage?

    This is a WooCommerce setting, please see documentation here for the placeholder image option.

    Adding images for your categories is also WooCommerce functionality. When you create or edit a category you can add an image for that category, see the managing categories documentation.
