Make sure to select the “Home Page” page template for the page that you are using as your homepage.
This can be changed in ‘Pages’ > ‘Quick Edit’ > select ‘Home Page’ from the ‘Template’ dropdown and click ‘Update’ button.
Or if in the page editor, in the page settings sidebar select ‘Home Page’ from the ‘Template’ dropdown and click ‘Update’ button.
AndyKeymasterThe Claremont Pro (nor Claremont free version) theme does not have a recommendation for the Starter Sites plugin, as there is no demo content available for the Starter Sites with this theme.
Was it a different theme that recommended Starter Sites?
AndyKeymasterThe form itself is created using the Contact Form 7 plugin.
The Home Page template has a widget area named “Top Right Area” where the form is placed by using the Contact Form 7 shortcode. When you create a form using that plugin, it gives you a shortcode that you can copy & paste to display the form.
As this theme and its demo was originally created before blocks existed in WordPress, you may want to use the Classic Widgets plugin to bring back the old style widgets, although it will work with the new style block widgets interface.
If using the new block widget interface there is a Contact Form 7 block that can be added where you are able to select one of your created forms to display without needing to paste the shortcode.
AndyKeymasterThank you for reporting this. Do you have any further information? Was there an error message showing on screen?
AndyKeymasterHi,
Did you try the suggestions I mentioned in my previous reply?
Please let us know either way as it has been more than a week since you submitted your question, and this topic may soon be closed and marked as resolved.
AndyKeymasterAs there has been no reply after 3 weeks I’m going to assume the issue has been resolved and will close this query.
If you still need help with this or any other question, please open a new topic. Thanks.
AndyKeymasterIt looks like something on your site is breaking the .js script in the theme.
The theme loads the core WordPress imagesLoaded script, but it looks like something on your site is breaking this causing an error in the theme’s .js script at a point before the slider functionality is used.
This is breaking the script from that point onwards and stopping the slider from working correctly.
It is also causing issues with the sticky/fixed header, and breaking the mobile navigation menu.It could be an issue with a third-party plugin or a caching plugin either not loading jQuery correctly or removing/changing it.
I would recommend temporarily deactivating all active plugins, then check to see if the issue is fixed.
If all is OK then reactivate your plugins one at a time until the problem re-appears.
This will show which plugin, if any, is causing the issue.AndyKeymasterHi Elva
As we have not heard anything from you since you first asked your question more than two weeks ago, I just wanted to ask did the solution I posted fix the issue for you?
AndyKeymasterThe logo is quite large at 200px in height.
You could add some custom CSS to make the logo smaller when scrolling, and the header will then not take up so much space.
#masthead.scrolled #site-branding .custom-logo { margin: 0; max-height: 50px; width: auto; }
Add the custom CSS above to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
AndyKeymasterIs there empty space where the page name/title should be displayed?
If so, it could be that you have changed the Headings Color (in ‘Customize’ > ‘Colors’ > ‘Headings Color’) to white, and it is not visible because the background of the featured service is also white.
If you want the general Headings Color to be white but the Featured Services page names/titles to be a different color, you can add some custom CSS (‘Customize’ > ‘Additional CSS’) like so:
.featured-post h4 { color: #000000; }
AndyKeymasterActually it looks like you are using an old version (1.8) of the theme from December 2020.
This issue was fixed in version 1.9.5 back in January 2022, and the current latest version is 1.9.6.
I would recommend you update the theme to the latest version, and this issue will be fixed.
AndyKeymasterHello. Do you still need help with this issue? Please let us know either way.
Thanks.AndyKeymasterPlease let me know the URL of your site and I’ll be able to take a look and advise further.
Thanks.AndyKeymasterWatching the video directly from the thumbnail is one of the main design aspects of this theme, and this is what makes it different from most other themes where you have to click through to the single post to watch the video.
AndyKeymasterThanks.
The related posts are visible at the bottom of the post content, but the Related heading is out of alignment.
I think the issue could be something to do with the Easy Primary Category plugin.
A couple of things to try;
1. deactivate the Easy Primary Category plugin
or 2. create at least one more category (you only have the default Uncategorized category at the moment) and then add your posts to another category besides Uncategorized.
